We SHOULD change the date

As a Nutritionist & Exercise Scientist, I have to say I am in favour of changing the date of Australia Day.
The long weekend has ruined many a New Years resolution, as it’s the first big test of the new regime, in only the fourth week of the year.
It also delays the start of many other regimes, as people ‘wait until after Australia Day’ to get started, leading to an additional four weeks of unrestricted intake post-Christmas.
My recommendations would be to move Australia Day to mid-March, as a reward for 12 weeks of sticking to any New Years resolution.
