The best way to get more comfortable in the gym is to spend more time in the gym.
I referred to ‘accumulating minutes’ last week, which I really think is the best way to think about building up your gym experience.
As you get more comfortable, you worry less about potential embarrassment and feel more inclined to increase the intensity and range of your exercise.
Even if it’s just walking in, sitting on a stationary for 20-minutes and walking out, the time spent in the gym will be a good thing.
So if you’re looking to get started or return to your previous gym routine, come up with a strategy for two training sessions to implement next week.
Once you’ve got the outline done, write it down and send it back to me.
I’ll check in the following week to see how you go !
